My
name is Madelyn Gelpi, but most people
prefer to call me Maddie! I am
16 years old and was born and raised
in good ol’ Slidell, LA. I
am a junior at Northshore High School,
and love getting involved in school
improvement and spirit activities.
I also love playing music on the piano
and guitar in my free time! I
am apart of the PRIDE troupe, a group
of drug and alcohol free St.
Tammany Parish teens who influence
the community to live substance-free
lifestyles. The reason I am apart
of the YALL team is because I realize
the dire need for change in Louisiana.
Because of my involvement with PRIDE,
I have become very passionate about
starting a movement across our community
to inform, and make people aware of how
alcohol has become so normal in our
society, even with teenagers. I
know that through hard work, dedication,
and a strong team, we can help make
a huge impact on our communities, and that’s the
reason I am apart of YALL!

year old senior who attends Zwolle
High School. I first got involved
with SADD in the 8th grade and I
have continued my affiliation. I

In my opinion everyone should join
some type of club that makes environmental
